Right now our house is full of wagging tails and bright puppy-dog eyes and all I had to do was open a bag and let the dogs peek inside. Our best friend the Postie has been dropping off more surprises and this time they’re in the form of a PawBag! We are delighted to be able to share the fun we had opening this goodie bag with you!

Description

A PawBag is a bag of dog treats and toys, but for its own protection it comes in a box. And not just any box, a box with a dog face on it that you can cut out and turn into a mask. As you can see this company is all about having fun. PawBag sells two bag types: the standard bags and the “Spoil Me Rotten Bag”. The standard bag contains 4-6 toys, treats and accessories that have been selected by their team to suit your dog’s size and breed. The Spoil Me Rotten Bag has 8-10 products hence they are a fantastic birthday or Christmas present!

Our medium standard PawBag contained: a Fat Cat Gruntley toy, an organic rope ball, collapsable silicone bowl, squeaky Gingerbread Man, Chuck a Duck Frisbee and a tin of pigs ear strips.

Durability

The toys we received were good quality with the organic tug toy enduring 100s of tug of war sessions already. The Gruntley toy from FatCat does have more delicate legs and arms but so far Cress and Eddie have been satisfied with squeezing its body to make it grunt, so no-one has lost any limbs yet.

Safety

The toys we received were all high quality and have not fallen apart. You should also keep a close eye on your dog when introducing new treats to make sure they don’t have a reaction. And we all know that treats should always be fed in moderation.

Cost

Pawbags start from AU$29.50 a month if you order a 6 month subscription. But there are many variables based on subscription length.

A newly released subscription model allows you to choose from a Standard Bag one off purchase for $39.50 which has a RRP value of over $80. Or a Spoil Me Rotten Bag for $59.50 with an RRP value of over $120. If a 3 month standard bagsubscription is purchased the price of each bag is $34.50 and a 6 Month Subscription reduces it to the $29.50 price tag we mentioned above.

All bags are shipped for free across Australia.

Sizes

Pawbag do boxes to suit small, medium and large dogs. The toys in our medium bag were perfect for Cress and Eddie who are 14kg & 10kg. PawBag also collect your dog’s name and breed.

Website and ordering

The PawBag website is easy to navigate, so placing an order is no trouble. As mentioned above you can place one-off or subscription-based orders and all the shipping is free within Australia. The website also has an online store selling their favourite products and a blog if you want to keep up with the latest PawBag news.

Donation program

We really like that for every bag PawBag sells they donate a minimum of $10 worth of product to an Australian shelter. They have recently installed a drop down box that allows their customers to choose where they want the donation to go to when they place their order. Since they have implemented this donation campaign in April, they have been able to donate over $10,000 in products to Australian shelters. Giving over 1000 needy animals a toy while they wait to find a home.

PawBag take suggestions for shelters to donate to so anyone wanting to put forward a suggestion just needs to email them at bark@pawbag.com.au.

Our favourite things

  • We loved the whole PawBag experience from opening the box, to getting a bag of surprises.
  • For every bag you purchase $10 worth of products are sent to an animal shelter of your choosing.
  • If you have cats (like me) they can also join in all the fun and get a ClawBag — yay for cats!

Overall

We loved our PawBag and thought the whole experience of getting one was a lot of fun. We also love that they give back to Australian shelters through their donations of various products for each bag purchased.
